My name is Gary Washburn and a very good friend of mine had his Monte stolen
from his work today. It is a 1977 Monte Carlo "Bright Orange" so if it is
still the same color it will defiantely not be missed!! It also has white
vinyl interior. This car has been in their family since it was new and id
being missed very badly right now. We are located in Arizona and the car was
stolen from 35th Ave and Buckeye at about 4:30 pm. I will get the other
necessary info from him tomorrow (VIN License plate # mileage and any other
info you think might help) If you do not post these on this site anymore,
please let me know who might do this.

My white 1986 Monte Carlo SS was stolen from a parking lot in Oak Brook, IL.
It was mint condition with t-tops and a 350 engine. Not much stock on this
one. Brand new paint and T/A tires on Centerline rims. Lots of chrome on the
engine, I know it's not likely I will find it but if anyone out there has any
info please email. This car really stands out and it is very loud, custom
exhaust. White with Burgandy interior, t-tops, shift kit, and custom
stainless steal exhaust.Illinois plates D 311 618. Please email with any information.

I found this page, and I know this is a long shot but i will at least
make me feel better.

My white 1983 Monte Carlo was stolen from the Duke University campus in
Durham, NC on 10/22/97. The front grille was broken because I had hit a
deer though otherwise it was in great shape. Some slight discoloration is
on the hood and the driver side front quarter since I had to re-build my
car after an accident and take the parts from a red Monte Carlo. It was a
V-8, had the standard factory rims, and a blue velveety interior. There
were two stickers on the back window, a Duke sticker and a George Mason
University sticker. The tags were Virginia, QAG-466.

I doubt anyone here will have seen it, but you never know. Since
I am AAA plus member, there is a $2000 reward for its recovery and the
arrest and conviction of those who stole it.

The car has a lot of sentimental value, especially for my mom since it
was the first car she ever bought by herself. She owns the car, and I
feel very badly that it's been stolen though there was probably nothing I
could do about it since the doors were locked and the parking lot had
security cameras all over the place.

Hope you will list this on your page.

It is a sad day. This morning my Monte showed up missing.

It's a 1986 Monte, no power options, grey w/grey interior, bucket seats,
4.3L V6, 3-spd auto, Pioneer factory-fit CD, Missouri license 377 DFR.
Pretty sharp looking, straight, no rust, no vinyl top. Last seen 11:00
pm yesterday in north Kansas City area.

BTW, the Pioneer factory fit radio fits beautifully, although
Crutchfield diagrees. I'll get one for my next Monte.

Dark Burgandy with all-white top (special order) Was purchased new at Glen
Cambell Chevrolet in 1978.
VIN: 1Z37U81501021
Licence Plate: 7Sojourn (NY) (since changed I'm sure)
The distinguishing marks are: Magician rainbow bumper sticker in middle of
back bumper. Excellent condition, unfaded burgandy interior, no pinstriping,
very little rust on left side rocker panel. rose decal on dash board, Symtec
sticker on window, Panasonic radio with cassette tape deck, woodgrain door
This car was not located after it was stolen in June, 1995 in Pearl Street in
Buffalo, New York. Police have this car on their hot sheet still. Might have
been sold out-of-state. I am desperate and heartbroken ever since Monte was
stolen. It was the only car I had ever owned. I will not rest until I have my
Monte back or at least an opportunity to get another one like it.
Please help me with any information you may come across. The unusual thing
about this is that the all-white top is very rare. There were and are only
two in the entire Western New York area. Hope this works. I've exausted every
other means to get my car back. Thanks. Contact ArtDes2 with any info.

Today I had the worst
experience of my life. I woke up this morning to find my '84 Monte-SS stolen
from right outside my bedroom window!

I'm sending this message to ask everyone out there (in the Chicago area at
least) to keep an eye out for it, even though deep down I know its probably
stripped down by now. The car was last seen on Sunday night in Bolingbrook,
Illinois (a SW suburb of Chicago). The description is as follows:

1984 Monte Carlo SS
White with stock blue stripes
around 88,500 miles
BFG 235R60-15 tires on stock rims
Fiberglass cowl induction hood
NO RUST!!! (This is the worst part, it was MINT, except it needed some
License plate # UAE994 (Illinois)
VIN: 1G1AZ37G3ER162473

The right corner of the rear plastic bumper has a scrape where the paint is
gone (it met with a guardrail when entering an interstate and lost traction
a while back), and there is a slight ding in the drivers door on the crown
line directly below the door handle. The car has headers and is not too
quiet, and the alternator is extremely noisy (bad bearing).

Please keep an eye out for this car, and if you happen to see anything

Stolen over this weekend in Flint, Michigan my uncles 1984 monte carlo SS,
blue, liscence 897EYE. Some body rust and loud exhaust (too cheap to fix the
cat converter) . I do not have any other features right now, I am just going
from my memory.
It is very likely chopped already, but I think a Monte SS might be a special
case when it comes to chopping. Most of the parts are not overly valuable as
they are the same as a regular Monte. But the car as a whole with matching
numbers is quite a bit more valuable.

I know it's a longshot, but any info-email
