1983-1988 common problems

• Erroneous oil pressure readings - can show low pressure via sender leak
• Poor seal on t-tops causing wind noise and possible leaks
• Torque converter failure - may cause trans failure and improper locking/unlocking
• Dash lights - often too dim
• Rust - on upper radiator support/cover plate
• Rust - at the rear corners of the trunk opening, underneath on both sides
• Valve seals - they fail often around 60k miles
• Reports of premature camshaft failure (not too common)
• Center console - lid hinge breaks easily
• Leaks onto passenger side floor via heater core/windshield/vent system
